The Minnesota Star-Tribune has released a new poll in the Senate Race between Amy Klobuchar and Mark Kennedy.
The
Strib poll shows a huge lead for Klobuchar. Amy is at 56 percent, to Kennedy's 32 percent. Independence candidate Robert Fitzgerald is at 3 percent.
Earlier this evening, I saw an extremely negative ad from the Kennedy camp, focusing on Klobuchar's mutual fund holdings. Klobuchar has been critical of big oil and Kennedy has pointed out that Amy owns mutual funds in her retirement account that hold Exxon stocks. In a debate at the State Fair, Klobuchar shot back that Kennedy has received over $50,000 in campaign contributions from big oil PACs. Kennedy's ad distorts Amy's holdings, failing to mention that her stock holdings are in the context of a retirement account mutual fund.
If this is all Kennedy has, it's going to be a long fall for him.
