I want to say think you, Ann Richards. I didn't know you, never evne really know much about you. But, I do remember hearing some of your great lines.
My favorite, an all time classic, is, "Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, except backwards and in high heels!"
I know you cared so deeply about our country. I know you invited more women and minorites into government than almost any other politician, certainly in Texas history.
I saw you on Larry King, and was rolling on the floor with laughter at some of your lines. Another favorite, "Poor George, he can't help it. He was born with a silver foot in his mouth."
Most of all, I loved the constant twinkle in your eye, and when you smiled, it showed clearly in those beautiful eyes.
You lived your life "out loud."
Thank you, Ann Richards...good travels, wherever you are.
