I just saw this little treasure come across the AP:
By DAVID BAUDER, AP Television Writer
NEW YORK - Fox News chief Roger Ailes says former President Clinton's response to Chris Wallace's question about going after Osama bin Laden represents "an assault on all journalists."
No, Mr. Ailes, I'm sorry. What you and your employer, the Bush White House do, is an "assault on all journalists". What Bill Clinton did was known as "defending himself against a set-up hit job". I understand that you wouldn't know the difference; after all, the Democratic half of this country has spent the last five years bending over and taking your abuse without a peep. It's got to be awfully inconvenient that you booked the one Democrat who wasn't going to take your crap, but that's now your problem to deal with.
I have a feeling now that the Big Dawg has let fly with the truth, that more Dems will follow shortly. I'm praying for that - otherwise we will lose again and again until we understand that this fight won't be won with reason and fairness, but by hitting them harder than they hit us - until these bullies finally learn their lesson. Politics and the playground, as I've come to discover over the last five years, aren't any different.
More hilarity from Mr. Ailes, who you can tell considers all Americans total idiots. Get through this one without laughing, if you can:
They're out there saying (Wallace) was savage, he sandbagged (Clinton), he was taking orders on the question," Ailes said. "Chris Wallace has never taken orders on questions in his life. There's never been a discussion of that. I frankly think the assault on Chris Wallace is an assault on all journalists."
Pure comedy gold here, folks:
Chris Wallace has never taken orders on questions in his life.
Right. I'm in stitches.
There's even more from the hilarious Mr. Ailes:
They're trying to do this to rally their base, go after Fox News, set up a straw man," he said. "That's fine. America's favorite indoor sport is politics. I quit it 14 years ago because I hated it.
No, 14 years ago is when you got into politics. The world has suffered for it ever since, Mr. Ailes.
