An article By Frederic J. Frommer, in the Associated Press, dated Sep. 12, 2006, talks about Democratic Sen. Russ Feingold calling on President Bush to stop demonizing other religions and inflaming hatred in the world by refraining,
"from using the phrase "Islamic fascists," saying it was offensive to Muslims and has nothing to do with global terrorists fighting the United States."
Sen. Feingold goes on to say:
"Fascist ideology doesn't have anything to do with the way global terrorist networks think or operate, and it doesn't have anything to do with the overwhelming majority of Muslims around the world who practice the peaceful teachings of Islam,"
White House homeland security adviser Fran Townsend, justifying the President's continuing insensitivity to other religions, replied at a news conference:
"What the President was trying to capture was this idea of using violence to achieve ideological ends and that's wrong. Regardless of what label you pin on it, it is this form of radical extremism that really wants to deny people freedom and impose a totalitarian vision of society on everyone, that we object to."
If the President truly objects to
fascist totalitarianism, then how do you explain the
"radical extremism" of the Republican party pushing for unchecked surveillance on Americans, denying captives the right to challenge their arrest, sanctioning the option to torture, allowing churches to campaign for right wing Christian political candidates, and declaring that Americans need to give up freedom to maintain freedom?
Sounds like Bush is the leader of a radical extremist "Christiano-fascist" movement right here in America. Has anyone checked out the reviews on "Jesus Camp?" The documentary, reported on by everyone now from ABC, to the BBC gives some indication of extremist indoctrination. Scarier than a Stephen King movie, the pre-pubescent children are shown worshipping an image of Bush!
There's also Boot Camp for those who get out of line later. No wonder Bush and other Fundamentalists don't recognize what constitutes cruel and unusual punishment. They torture their own children as a standard form of discipline, some tragically, to the point of death just to adhere to their twisted dogma of "spare the rod and spoil the child" religious ideology. What fascist vision of god are they worshipping these days? Oh, yea, I forgot, it's G. W.! This is where we need to stop extremism- in the Heartland of America! Otherwise our bumper stickers will start reading:
"Bomb a Gay Islam-o-Fascist Orphan For Jesus!"
And anyone who reads this line and thinks it's okay, just proves my point.
