Congress lynched the Constitution today. The most horrific crimes were given the legislative imprimatur.
Torture? Approved. Rape? Approved. Secret evidence? Approved. End habeus corpus? Approved.
The Republicans voted to defy the Magna Carta today and hundreds of years of laws and human rights, shattering the reputation of our country. Even the military was defied.
This is craziness. The only comparison I can think of is a lynch mob.
Each senator should be asked the question: Did you vote today for civilization and human progress or for barbarism and a return to the law of the jungle?
And by the way, where was the legal profession? Why didn't the ABA protest?
Why no strikes at law schools?
