The problem with the Democratic Party is that there are too many so-called "Democrats" who vote like Republicans and not Democrats. There were 64 so-called "Democrats" who voted to construct the Berlin Wall II, and 34 who voted for the torture bill.
Looking at both lists and comparing them narrows the list down to 27. There are 27 hardcore "Democrats" who voted for both the Berlin Wall II and the torture bill and who do not represent the will of the world, the American people or their party.
The list is below:
Andrews
Barrow
Bean
Bishop (GA)
Boren
Boswell
Boyd
Chandler
Cramer
Davis (AL)
Davis (TN)
Edwards
Etheridge
Gordon
Herseth
Holden
Marshall
Matheson
McIntyre
Melancon
Moore (KS)
Peterson (MN)
Pomeroy
Ross
Spratt
Tanner
Taylor (MS)
I did not include Brown or Ford, because they are not seeking reelection in their own districts.
So, the question becomes this -- who should be primaried out in 2008, and who would be a good opponent for these so-called "Democrats?" Which ones at least respond to their constituents, and which ones do not?
