...I'd be nervous with 'America's Most Wanted' on my trail..."

This is but one of Foley's many disturbed quotes in an  interview with John Walsh of Fox's "America's Most Wanted" []from 2005. It's truly amazing how that depraved GOP mind works: deflect attention from yourself by accusing others of what you yourself are most guilty of (a page right out of the old Rove playbook). Dante is going to have to have to come back from the dead to invent a whole new circle of hell for this soulless bunch.

If you can stomach it, join me for more mind-blowing quotes after the jump...

BTW I did a quick search and saw no previous references to this interview. If it has already been diaried, I will delete.

The video is captioned "John Walsh and representatives from NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children) and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America talk to Florida Representative Mark Foley about the importance of developing a sexual offender DNA database."

Some of Foley's choicer quotes:

"We track library books better than we track pedophiles and kids that are missing..."

Note to Foley: No one thought to check the Library of Congress, I guess...

"...when you rape a person...when you violate a child, you lose your civil liberties!"

From this list of conditions for those who should lose their civil liberties, Mark forgot to add "...when you cover up for a serial pedophile to save your job or retain your social and/or economic status..."

Come to think of it, not even a tenth circle of hell is deep enough!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
