I keep seeing diaries discussing Republican VPs - Rudman and McCain, specifically.
On the one hand, what passes for the Democratic intelligentsia (a/k/a, the same folks who took us from a 40-year majority party to the absolute minority party in ten years flat) tell us that if we vote for Nader we're delusional, because if we think that there is no difference between the Democrats and the Republicans, we're retards (and our mothers dress us funny).
However, at the same time, Kerry votes for IWR, Nader calls for the impeachment of Bush because of his obvious lies for the exact same war, and Democrats on Kos - the alleged beacon of Democratic power - keep posting diaries about "hey, McCain [or Rudman] could make us win you know....."
Which is it? Do we have an imperative to vote Bush out of office, or do we throw in the towel and put a Republican on the ticket? Additionally, how do you emphasize the differences between the GOP and the Democratic Party and simultaneously advocate for a Republican VP (showing an obvious lack of faith in Kerry and the Democratic Party), and thereby wound Kerry more than Nader's run ever would?
