George Bush STILL Wired! Can't Talk About Alito Without Help!

Sat Jan 28, 2006 at 07:16:29 AM PDT

Remember the Bulgegate scandal, when President Bush cheated during the debates with John Kerry by having someone (perhaps Karl Rove) feeding him talking points through an earpiece? Remember the wires snaking down his back? Well...it seems he's still at it. This speech about Sam Alito seemed pretty strange right from the start and seemed good fodder for sampling for a song...The process of listening to the speech many times during production of this track eventually brought home the fact that Bush is still wired! The evidence of this is the intro to the track or can be heard about 20 seconds into this video. Bush seems to tell the voice in his earphones to "shh." Unless someone else has a good explanation why he would stop in the middle of "he is well qualified" to throw in a "shh," it would seem quite clear that he still needs outside help, even to appear to be a real President.

    Fantastic liberal conspiracy theory, though.

Why would this have to be so crazy that it's a "conspiracy" theory?  The technology to wirelessly rig someone with a personal in-ear monitor can be obtained for under $1000.  It's reasonable to assume that a "personality" could be politically selected for his charisma (and of course recognizable family-name connections) rather than intelligence or cognitive sharpness.

The fact that he makes so little sense half the time would readily indicate that he's being micro-managed behind the scenes, and it's not at all unusual for world leaders to be proxies for other parties.  "Figurehead" comes to mind.  Why is it a conspiracy that we've elected (or selected, as the case may be) a figurehead to run our nation, and that his marionette strings occasionally become visible?

  •  An interesting comparison online at ICH (none / 0)

The Information Clearing House has an interesting video comparison online that shows how Bush used to be able to handle himself at a podium.

Watching it really drives home how much he'd deteriorated by 2004.  That he's worse in 2006 is as unsurprising as it is frightening.  It's worth sharing with others who may be assuming that Bush has always been like he is now.

  •  I listened... (none / 0)

...more than a few times to try to hear if he meant to say another word that started with the "sh--" sound, but as I LOOK at it, too, he's obviously saying "sh--" to someone, whether the person is there in front of him making noise that you can't hear, someone speaking to him via an earpiece, or, what might be most likely, those voices in his head again. He's talking to SOMEONE other than the questioner, though, IMO. Also, look at his eye movement when he's not saying anything: it seems as if he's listening to someone that the rest of us can't hear.
