The stupidest fucking president. Ever

Sun Jan 29, 2006 at 04:38:43 PM PDT

Every time I think I've become jaded, every time I feel like nothing these people can do could possibly shock me, I hear about something like this, and it makes me want to spit. Taking money away from programs that actively and measurable work to prevent aids, in order to grease the pockets of the religious right-wingers is such a new low, I can't even articulate how disgusted I am.
what am I ranting about? Bush is giving away billions of dollars in AIDs money to right-wing nut jobs who will be preaching abstinence, but refusing to pass out condoms

Fine: you're an evil bastard without a shred on compassion( conservative or otherwise). Fine, you have no empathy or sympathy for the dying Americans( not to mention Africans and other people), who desperately need actual, medical help.

Why, for the love of god, would you steal money away from working programs and American pockets in order to kiss nut-job religious ass? I mean, isn't it enough that you're already stealing money from the poor? Do you have to steal from the sick and dying as well? Do you have to insist that more and more and more people become infected with this horror. WTF is wrong with you? Where, oh where, do they grow people like you?

  •  Wait... (4.00 / 2)

you wanted them to actually use the money to fight AIDS?

That was some wishful thinking on your part...

unfortunately, Bush and religious people don't care about people with AIDS. Bush doesn't care because there's no way to make money off of them...because they are poor. If there's no money to be made off of you, you may as well be dead...that's how Bush thinks. As for the religious people...many of them think anyone with AIDS deserves it because they sinned.

The result? AIDS starts winning...more and more people get it....and things get worse.

    But that's Republicans for ya.

    •  Fuckng yes... (4.00 / 2)

you wanted them to actually use the money to fight AIDS?

Where are the good Christians here? The dedicated, rational, giving people who actually believe the gospels of the new testament? Why are the wingnuts getting all the press & money? Why the fuck are they getting my money? Money that my representatives set aside for actually doing something useful about aids? WTF?

  •  Bush talks about his future think tank (4.00 / 5)

for kids who want to think about freedom and other stuff:

    -----------------------INTERVIEW THIS MORNING ON CBS:

SCHIEFFER: No, not in my memory. Have you had time or you don't have much time in your job, and I know that, to think about what you are going to do after you're president?

PRESIDENT BUSH: Beginning to think it through a little bit. The first--the touchstone is going to be a Bush library or complex or where it's going to be. It's going to be in Texas. I don't know exactly where yet. We are beginning the process of listening to some of these institutes of higher education and their ideas.

I would like to leave behind a legacy or a think-tank, a place for people to talk about freedom and liberty, and the de Tocqueville model--what de Tocqueville saw in America. I would like for there to be a place where young scholars to come and write and think and articulate and opine and teach, but I really haven't beyond that. Of course, it's a nice place to go to, which is the ranch.

    ---------------- FROM ZOOLANDER

Mugatu: I present to you the Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Would Like To Do Other Things Good

Zoolander: Is this a center for ants?

    Mugatu: What?

Zoolander: How can the children read when they can't even fit inside the building? The center has to be at least... three times bigger than this!

  •  No (none / 1)

that would be "evilest president ever"  Care about people with AIDS?  He loves people with AIDS!  His fire-breathing base would be lost without unfortunate sinners to hold up as examples of the hellfire damnation that befalls people who fuck, especially gays.

Nothing this bastard does shocks me anymore

  •  I'll go you a step further. (none / 1)

I think that the whole Aid idea needs to be rethought.

I saw an article with Angelina Jolie (ambassador to the UN) talking about the problems of Aid moneys being so heavily reliant on charities.

I think that every dollar that's being donated to charities in America should become a new tax, spread proportionately over the income demographics that are donating.

This tax can be paid or it can be written off by having donated to Government select programs that abide by international standards of proper health education.

The bottom line is that Christian Charities have become as much a part of the problem as a part of the solution. To be quite honest, wasn't that always the case?

Christians write off the damage they do by claiming that they do good in other ways. That's bullshit. I'm not sure if they realize it or not, but it's not even close to good enough.

They don't want to fund giving out condoms to black people? Too bad. If they want to live in the middle ages, I know a few 'Fillinblankistans" that enjoy that type of thing.

But when it comes to sex, Christian Charities either need to reform, or become irrelevant, or become instutions funded above and beyond those that actually do the work of providing real health care in 2006... that will actually get the job done that Christian Charities can't or won't do.

Americans need to be forced to pay for real Aid, not just Christian voodoo nonsense about 'abstinance only' crap that's been proven not to even work in America.

And how come 1/2 the money Americans claim to give to charities on surveys is never claimed on taxes? Are they lying? Course they are. It's time America paid up. For real.

As a final note, is it a coincidence that the guys like Robertson who preach this abstinance nonsense in Africa are the ones profiting from the diamond mines and tree farms and other ventures that as long as the population remain desperate, can be controlled by overseas corporations? Coure not.

These policies are not religious at the core. As with most things, the religion is used only when it overlaps with a corporate agenda. Here that agenda is to keep women in poor countries from attaining equality and liberation. Because with women's rights will come a social democracy like that we see exploding in South America; and movements that will kick these American corporatists out on their asses faster than you can spit. That's what this is about.

You can count on the fact that anything so backasswards as 'abstinance programs' in Africa, it'd be serving a corporate bottom line.

  •  Religious Nuts (4.00 / 2)

It really pisses me off when I see these people preach their "don't touch" policies that will never work - not as long as hormones are involved!!!!

It pisses me off even more that we import cute little "whitish babies" while exporting "black babies" to foreign countries.  Yes, we have plenty of babies to go around but you wouldn't think so by the so called "waiting lists" for adoption.

I say, if these wingnuts don't want to deal with reality, MAKE THEM and have it be a church "doctrine" that each one must adopt an American Baby, especially the extras after Roe's protection is struck down.

There are also the poor white, crack or meth addicted babies that nobody wants because they supposedly turn into problems as they age.  Without Roe, yeah, these babies don't have a fighting chance to begin.  How sad but that is reality.

I know I'm ranting - but to not be realistic is living in a fantasy world - you know the one where Jesus talks to them and tells them so......

  •  You actually expected them (4.00 / 3)

to show any sort of moral or ethical restraint over money?  It's MONEY!  Their genitals swell and their forebrains shut down at even the whiff of the Mean Green.  They'd beat a handicapped kid to death for his lunch money.  They'd burn down the Home for the Aged, including the aged, to collect the insurance -- after ripping the place apart to find all the loose change.

You wonder what kind of sick bastards would use the skin of human prisoners to make lampshades?  Dig the gold fillings out of the mouths of the dead and sell them?  Boil down the bodies to make soap?  That kind of person is infesting the White House right now.

  •  Religion (none / 1)

Remember, Religions are the BEST TAX-FREE Business going!!!!

Heck, these Mega churches have their own Starbucks (with Walmart coming soon?.?.?).

My point obviously being that as long as Churches get the tax-free status they do, from income to property taxes, then they are indeed a really good business to have around and less expensive to run.

Admittedly, there are good churches.  There are also a lot of bad ones getting the tax-free status.

  •  Another thought (none / 1)

If the New World Order folks have the correct theory the United States has to fall before the coming of the totalitarian global empire.
Come on I mean you have to admit Bush did a great job wrecking America.
  •  stomp out medical cures before it's too late! (4.00 / 2)

remember when the wingnuts were fighting the release of a new vaccine designed to prevent cervical cancer, because they were worried it might increase promiscuity?

With a vaccine that could prevent cancer in tens of thousands of women less than a year from the market, religious groups and reproductive-rights advocates are squaring off over how the medication will be distributed. Leading medical organizations are recommending that all girls be vaccinated just before puberty, while a number of religious and other socially conservative groups are concerned the cervical cancer vaccine may increase sexual activity among youth.

    http://newstandardnews.net/...

Here's their deal: we should not carry out medical research that might, in any way, allow people to have sex with less worry about disease.

You will notice that this type of thinking is always promoted by people like Jerry Falwell, James Dobson (it was a Focus on the Family effort), and Pat Robertson.

Now, what do these men have in common? You guessed it: nobody wants to mate with them. And don't think that they don't know it and that they aren't secretly pissed off about that. How else do you explain the conservative obsession with missile defense?

Ah, but that was too easy. They also know something else! They know that a happy, sexually-satisfied population of enthusiastically humping citizens is BAD for their membership numbers. It means that more people will realize that they are full of shit. Because when you have a choice between going over to your girlfriend's house for a game of "warden's wife," or going over to the local mega-church to get hit up for a donation by some pompous fat bastard like Jerry Falwell, guess which one you're going to pick?

Damn right. So, AIDS funding? Nah. Maybe next year.

Worst president in history. Supported by the worst Americans in history.
