Let me say this from the bottom of heart, congratulations to Fox News for celebrating 10 years of advocating Right-Wing lies, falsehoods and misinformation. I never thought it could be done, but thumbs up to the 'White power' network for accomplishing such a feat.
The formula that has made Fox news a household name is very simple. A missing white-females-fixated, George W. Bush, ass licking, swaggeringly jingoistic, angry white male, Clinton hating, liberal bashing network run by Roger Ailes. The fat assed former media consultant to Nixon, Reagan and Bush Sr,. Fat boy's ideas on what the media cares about are as follows:
"There are four things the media are interested in. They're interested in polls, they're interested in pictures, they're interested in mistakes, and they're interested in attacks."
Notice the key word, 'attacks.' The opinion-mongers of Fox news attack like a bunch of rabid dogs. Using the volume of their voices rather than the volume of facts. They preach to the jaded, stupid and meek, who believe that liberal elites are on a quest to destroy religion, steal their precious guns, and impose a secular-progressive agenda that'll eliminate all forms of traditional values.
To give the devil their due, it has been successful.
America loves a good train wreck and morons screaming at the top of their lungs.
Let's get one thing straight, Fox news isn't a news network. It's a politicial opinion network that covers itself in the great marketing slogan of, "fair and balanced."
Opinion-mongers and misinformation whores like Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, and John Gibson are nothing but guys who you would find in a bar on a Saturday night who turn to anyone who would listen to them and say, "you know what I hate. No stories about Christians. No stories about how America is great. No stories about how Ronald Reagan saved me from the Liberal devil that threatened to eat my baby."
Yes, it's their opinion, and entitled to it, but the big three, including the dashing leading man, Brit Hume have performed a great disservice to the country at a time when the division is drawn between Red and Blue.
Case in point, when the Foley scandal broke, Former Rep. Foley was labeled a 'Democrat.' Fox news' explanation: A mistake.
Come on, guys, do you really think we're all fools like the Conservatives that watch your network. It's obvious that Fox news wants to paint Democrats as nothing more than Secular-Progressives with no moral fiber in their bodies. And, what better way to boost the GOP's position in the polls by labeling the scandal-ridden Foley as one of them. A liberal with no morals.
Like the GOP, Fox news relies on character-assassinations, lies, paranoia, and a cult who'll follow them no matter how much the evidence proves you're wrong. They'll ask Bill Clinton why he couldn't stop Osama Bin Laden before 9/11, but will give George Bush a pass because he's a Republican and there's nothing that pisses Conservatives when they have to be in the frontline of a little thing called, "tough questions."
I'm not really sure who is the worst of the bunch at the Conservative propaganda machine known as Fox news. Bill O'Reilly, since the Mackris scandal has lost his mind and has resorted to being Joe McCarthy rather than Bill O'Reilly. John Gibson is another misinformed loudmouth who proved my theory that Fox news is a white power network when he said that in order to combat the growing hispanic population we need to make more babies. And, of course, how can forget my favorite windbag, Sean Hannity. The man has his head so far up George Bush's ass that he knows what he had for breakfast. In a perfect world, Mr. Hannity would be fired for what he did when it was discovered that he coached nurses to answer questions during his campfire at Terri Schiavo's hospital. Then again, Geraldo is still there, and he had the gall to give out troop locations. And, Oliver North? Well, lets leave it there.
But here's their biggest lie.
The fact that Fox news spews the myth that Democrats are cheering for the terrorists and that Daily kos were demoralized Zarqawi's death is absoultely without any merit or evidence.
A network's goal isn't to decide who shits the flag and who isn't, it's to report the facts as they see it. And the facts are not clearly on the side of the Conservatives. And, you know what, the bigwigs at Fox news know this and that's why they spread lies and more lies. To rally the troops in their base who are completely stupid and meek and will believe anything you tell them, even if it means selling out the great thing we use to hold dear in this country, "freedom."
Yes, Fox News have your 10th anniversary celebration, but remember this: Just because you say it to be true, doesn't mean it's the truth. Just because your voices are loud enough to wake the dead, doesn't mean you're the almighty and just because you have a fancy slogan, doesn't mean your product is shady and fraudelent.
Fox news is indeed number one, but to these eyes, number one in deception and phony propaganda.
