Frontline: The Enemy Within on Tuesday

On Tuesday, Oct, 10th (tonight), PBS is airing Frontline's The Enemy Within, an investigation of how possible domestic terrorism has been investigated by the FBI and other government agencies since 9/11.

Just as he did in 2003 in Chasing the Sleeper Cell, correspondent Lowell Bergman (who was the subject of The Insider and teaches at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism) takes a critical look at some of the terrorism cases that have been trumpeted by the Bush administration.

It is perhaps best the watch both shows (Chasing is online an Enemy will be) and the read the related article in the New York Times (which takes a broader look  t counterterrorism at the FBI) and decide for yourself if we are safer because the men from Lackawanna and Lodi are in jail.

Also tonight on many PBS station (check your local listings) is Maquilapolis: City of Factories.

      watch it on Detroit PBS when they rerun late at night. Many a time I cost myself sleep as I'll get sucked in each and every time. As it should be.

•  Ah,

  Good ol' Frontline.  PBS is the last bastion of good television news investigation.  Much as I like Olbermann, he's not really an investigative reporter.  Frontline though, is made of many great ones.
  NewsHour is awesome as well.

  •  NewsHour is mixed, but Fronline is very good

    Their reported stories can be very good, but their discussions are usually pale, male, and don't have a wide enough rnage of views
