That stinking Chevron ad at the top of the DailyKos masthead is not just self-promotion by a corporate polluter of politics and the environment -- it's part of Chevron's $50 million campaign to defeat Proposition 87, the California Clean Energy Initiative sponsored by environmental groups, Democratic groups, and endorsed by Al Gore.
Here's the big picture that other diarists are missing: http://yesoncleanenergy.com/
Markos, you're being used to forward the oil industry's political agenda! Take it down!!!
Chevron's lying "No on 87" ads have been polluting California's airwaves with bullshit since early August.
The Chevron ad on DailyKos is just the flip side of the "No on 87" campaign, saying in effect, "Trust Chevron and oil companies to develop clean energy -- don't vote for Prop. 87, which would tax oil production to do it."
And now Markos is shilling for them, not even realizing that he's become part of their dishonest, anti-democratic campaign to NOT spend any of their money on alternative energy development!!
The DailyKos Chevron ad is part of the Bush/Cheney/oil industry's ongoing effort to AVOID developing clean energy even in the face of global warming! Markos, take it down! This is not acceptable on a "Progressive" blog!!!!
