Googling for Gabrielle Giffords (AZ-08), I noticed that someone has paid for a negative, sexist, anti-Giffords "sponsored link" to appear at the top of the page.

The thing about sponsored links is that someone, somewhere, pays when you click on them. If you're feeling a bit mischievous, you can post a charge against the bad guys' account by clicking here, and then clicking on the link that says "Giffords Must Be Stopped". The link might also appear on the right side of the page.

Someone out there is really dumb. This is like putting a coin on the table in front of your opponent & saying here, take it from me.

To corroborate my hypothesis (that someone out there is really dumb), I clicked on the link. It took me to a blog named "Liberals Must Die", which -- dumbly for them -- celebrates the RI Senate poll showing Whitehouse with a huge lead over Chafee. They've reprinted the FOX screenshot that misidentifies Whitehouse as (R) and Chafee as (D) along with the comment, "OH YEA!!! Suck it you liberal hethen bastards!!"

They are too dumb to live. Go ahead, take their money. Click here, then click on the sponsored link.

Seriously, they're making it too easy.

  Look at the post about Chafee and Whitehouse, where Whitehouse is labeled as the (R) and is leading the polls. When his error is pointed out, the admin replies, "The White House is Republican!"

  I think it's satire that doesn't quite strike the right chord -- it isn't absurd enough to be recognizably satirical.

      Other political satirical efforts have become big - The Onion, Colbert, Jesus' General... I wonder if this person is trying to do that.

      But frankly, given the remarks of Ann Coulter and her ilk, and the death threats that the Minutemen protesters at Columbia have received, I see phrases like "liberals must die" and get a little nervous.

    Nobody links to it. Nobody. So he's desperate. He's actually paying for sponsored links on Google, and picking keywords that no one else wants so his link appears at the top.

      I'm guessing that the site owner(s) don't care much about political outcomes and just glommed onto what they perceived to be an easy target for satire.
