Last week, The Times of London came out with its annual ranking of top universities.
In the US, Stanford and Harvard did well, cementing their places as top global universities, to the dismay of the RightWing in our country.
In Latin America, the only university to break the top 200 was UNAM, (Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico) coming in at 74, up from 95th place one year ago.

Why is this important?
Because two weeks ago, Arthur C. Brooks, professor at Syracuse University, penned a WSJ op-ed piece, arguing that college graduates tend to vote for the RightWing.
Where, I ask, does he get his data from? From Hillsdale College, TEC or Ibero (the Hillsdales of Mexico) grads?
Let's see how Harvard grads vote, from the perspective of a RightWinger himself, Hugh Hewitt.

Ideology and admissions: Who was admitting the Class of 1978?
by Hugh Hewitt
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/...
Twenty-five years after leaving Harvard College, a large slice of the Class of 1978 gathered last week for a reunion. Of the 1,600 members of the class, more than 670 filed a response to a detailed survey on their lives since graduation.
Here are some of the findings:
Only one quarter of the respondents regularly attend religious services; 13 and 8 percent declared themselves to be agnostics and atheists, respectively. More than 70 percent earn six figures or greater, but only about a tenth gave more than $10,000 annually to charity.
Fifty-three percent identified themselves as Democrats, 13 percent as Independents and 6 percent as Green. Only 17 percent identified themselves as Republicans and only 22 percent voted for President Bush.

I can assure you that Stanford grads are even more liberal than Harvard ones.
Now, let's see how UNAM students recently voted, in a mock election conducted shortly before the July 2 presidential election, which was FRAUDULENTLY stolen from the center-left candidate by a politician, Calderon, even MORE reactionary than Bush. According to the note below, AMLO (liberal candidate whose policies mirrored those of President Clinton) received 59% of the vote, while RightWing Calderon received 19%.

----------------------------------------
What can we conclude from these data points?
Graduates from the top universities in the US and Mexico support liberal, center-left candidates.
In the same way that Stanford students prevented Bush from visiting Stanford last April......

NEWS UPDATE: Protests force Bush to relocate Hoover meeting; three students detained
April 21, 2006
By Amit Arora
Although President George W. Bush was scheduled to meet with fellows at the Hoover Institution on Friday, the presence of more than 1,000 protestors forced him to change his plans and meet with advisers and faculty members at the residence of former Secretary of State and Hoover Fellow George Shultz on the outskirts of the Stanford campus.
Protesters march on White Plaza to Hoover Tower yesterday in anticipation of seeing President Bush.

students at UNAM recently succeeded in jeering a member of Mexico's Supreme Court whom had been an accomplice in the vote fraud against Liberal AMLO, off the stage as he was about to deliver a speech.
I urge all of you to always keep in mind that the facts are on our side. Never EVER allow a RightWinger, whether here or in Mexico, to suggest that the most prepared citizens of a country support RightWing policies. Never EVER fall prey to RightWing SwiftBoat campaigns alleging that Center-Left politicians can't responsibly manage an economy, as many uneducated Mexicans (and I say this as a Mexican-American with dual citizenship) did recently.
The best and brightest of any country will always embrace the Center-Left Liberal agenda. They will always support politicians who believe in the power of government, and will always oppose those politicians, like Bush in the US or Calderon in Mexico, who don't believe in science or technology, but do believe in laissez-faire economics.
