I'm teaching a freshman orientation class this term, and like many professors, I loathe it when students cite material from places like Wikipedia and Answers.com. While our school provides students with access many online journal databases, many students only use these for formal papers.
I'm trying to put together a "mother of online research, any scholarly subject" (MOORASS) list. I've done lots of research on political science, history, and legal issues, but my research experience in other areas has been limited. I figured who better to ask for suggestions than my Kossack friends!
So, please, tell me your favorite sites for subjects that you research. News and humor sites also welcome (I encourage students to be in touch with world events - and to develop a sense of humor). I will organize a master list and publish it here for future reference.
