KOS, FRONT-PAGE THIS DIARY!!!!!!!!!!

Update [2006-10-17 19:9:30 by Bob Johnson]:

NO SOCKS HAVE BEEN FOUND! However, thanks to the hard work of a number of kossaks who tracked down images of the socks on Google, I will soon be posting a link to a .pdf MISSING poster for the socks.

KEEP DIGGING KOSSAKS! AND THANK THANK THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU ARE DOING!!!!!

I was doing my laundry last night when I discovered, much to my dismay, that two of my socks have gone missing!!!

Now, it would be one thing if the two socks were a pair, but they're not!  They are two diffferent socks meaning that I, essentially, lost two pairs of socks in the process!

Somwhere in the epic journey from my feet to the clothes hamper to the laundry basket to the washer to the dryer to the clothes basket and onto the bed for sorting, folding and putting away, the two socks vanished without a trace!

Continue reading for a full description of the missing socks, where they were last seen, and what others are saying about the missing socks...

Okay, here are simple descriptions of the two missing socks:

                              Missing sock #1
Black cotton sock with a zigzag pattern on the ankle part, topped with about a 1.5" band.  Fairly lightweight.

                              Missing sock #2
Dark (olive) green, cotton with several thin, red pinstripes running the length of the sock. Narrow, 1" band around top of sock.

In terms of where these socks were last seen, the facts are a bit fuzzy.  My wife was after me on Sunday morning to pick up my dirty socks from the floor along my side of the bed, and I believed I had picked them all up, including both socks from the pairs in question.

I have looked uder the bed, under the nightstand, in the bottom of the hamper, and I have retraced my steps from the bedroom (second floor) to the wash machine (basement).

No luck.

SO I AM APPEALING TO THE DKOS COMMUNITY FOR HELP!

If you have any ideas on where the socks may have gone or where I should look for them, please post your thoughts here!

I will UPDATE this diary with any relevant developments!

I know we are all busy trying to win tight elections in November to finally restore some sanity to our nation, but this could be critically important!  Without these missing socks, I may have to wear dirty socks by Friday of this week and I don't want my athlete's foot to flare-up!

Thank you for the time and let's get to work on this!

I love you ALL!!!!!!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
