Remember Disney? (With Poll)

Not too long ago, we were all hot and bothered about the Disney docu-fantasy "Path to 9/11".  I know, that was one scandal and at least one evisceration of the Constitution ago.  And ABC is the reportorial attack dog on the disgraceful cover-up of Foley's misdeeds.
So, how's it going?  Are we all still boycotting all Disney product?  Or are we sneaking a peek at Brian Ross?  Or watching our college or pro teams on ESPN?  Or going to the latest Disney movie, because it's all about the kids?
My acid test is tonight.  My Eagles are on ESPN.  I'll be listening to the local radio, as Merrill Reese gets way to excited, and Mike Quick refers to a great hit as the "Matt Blatt Splat of the game."  (Sigh).  What about you folks?

  I never watched ABC before, so continuing the tradition is no big whoop for me...

  I am SEVERELY limiting my ESPN watching now.  No "gratuitous" football or baseball. No World Series of Poker, etc.

  But I do make note of the advertisers and avoid when I can (although lately in my neck of the woods, ALL of the ads appear to be for my Rethug Congressman, so again, I'll have no trouble not buying THAT particular load of corn).

  If CBS had released this report I feel confident there would be a piercing cry that "the liberal media is again timing a news story in a way that attempts to affect the election!!!!"

  But since it's ABC, are they somewhat innoculated against such calls?  Did the fact that they just carried so much water protect them?

  Frankly, I think this story does us more good than P2911 did us harm- so its a trade I'd be willing to make...

  Yeah, Walt was a fascist, but I work for WB and most of the Disney employees I know are very liberal...

  I have not watched Fox News for years, and it is not because I want to harm Fox but rather because Fox News just gets me angry and I would rather live my life without that pollution.

  When it comes to ABC, I spent a long time thinking about what I got from its programming and to what level I felt they offended me with The Path to 9/11.  I decided to give up ABC and ABC programs even though I was an avid Desperate Housewives and Lost viewer.

  Again, I did not directly think of harming ABC but felt that my viewing would be affected by thinking about my negative views of ABC.  If I didn't already have somewhat negative views of the direction of the shows I don't think I could have done it.

  Once I saw ABC as a corporate entity, I started to see the plot lines as circular and myself as a hamster running around on a wheel (especially in Lost) without hope of ever getting anywhere until the viewership gets low enough that the shows will end.  This happens to be the truth and the way most shows work but it is not something I would normally think about, especially while watching the show.

  Note that I have not given up ESPN because I don't get the same feeling about ESPN which is also a Disney vehicle.  Not that I am a fan of competitive card shuffling and other odd sports shown on it... because that doesn't affect my football.

    to watch the first new episode of G.A.  And caught about 10-15 min. of Oprah the other day when she was interviewing Annette Benning and Morgan Freeman.
     Other than that, not much on ABC I really want to watch anyway, at least until the next USC game they show (maybe.)

  Successfully so far, I think.
  It seriously limited my options, though, when getting something for my kids on a recent return trip from overseas.
  Those airport kids' shops are seriously stacked with Disney-related stuff.
