Lets just call it like it is. The GOP has crashed and is burning. Busted. Their wheels have come off, they are overturned in the ditch, miles from the nearest tow truck, and it's dark outside. Bush, when he dares show his face, is looking more like a strung out crack-head with his hair on fire than a president.  (Not like he ever has looked like a president, and no offense to you flaming crack-heads out there).  Every single time he gets his smirking, punk-ass chimp face on the tube, more people are seeing him for what he is. A self absorbed, mean spirited, delusional moron that shouldn't be managing a java hut, let alone the worlds last remaining superpower. People are finally getting this, and by extension they are getting that the houses of congress have enabled this psychopathic shit for brains to jeopardize the future of every decent american who cares about anything other than greed. In their orgy of greed and lust for power republicans and a few special dems have followed this  despicable little man, straight through the gates of hell.

Now is not the time to play nice. Now is not the time to keep dry that mysterious powdery substance we've all heard about. Now is not the time for  a "bipartisan"  work ethic. Now is the time to go on the offensive. It's time to bring out the knives. We need to make it absolutely clear that we intend to hold these idiots accountable for their actions.
If that means abandoning our support for them, then so be it. But, let's do it after this election cycle.
Now more than ever, every seat counts. Every vote is important. In the meantime you can tell these misguided nitwits what you expect from them. Tell them often. Tell them loudly.

Having trouble contacting your state reps. to tell them exactly what they should and should not be doing at this stage of the game?  Want to tell them to pull their heads out of their asses and start voting their conscious and not what they think is popular? Check out webslingerz  for a quick fix on your congress critter's contact info. It's quick, easy and updated frequently. If we are going to win we need their help. We need them to help us, help them. Tell them what you think is important.

Want to know if your blowhard neighbor with two hummers and cache of ribbon magnets has been supporting the GOP? Open Secrets  has the data. I wasn't surprised to see that donations to republicans outpaced those to democrats by a margin of two to one in my zip code area. It was just further proof of what I already knew, that most of my neighbors a racist, fundamentalist, buttsniffing assclowns.

I don't know about you but I've had about enough of my neighbors stupidity.
So far on my street, I'm the only one that has yard signs out for democratic candidates. Not true for the buttmunching repugs on the block. I have been considering my own action plan for the neighborhood which consists of me hopping on my riding mower, tooling up the street, and turning all those repug signs along the way into mulch. I may or may not then mow a big "D" in their front lawn, then wait around long enough to give them a peace sign before I move on to my next landscaping project. But that's just me.
Let's bring this home folks and wipe that smirk off the evil little chimps face.

Lastly tonight I want to remind everyone that the ACLU needs our help in challenging the government on a variety of issuses, not the least of which is Military Commissions Act

"The president can now - with the approval of Congress - indefinitely hold people without charge, take away protections against horrific abuse, put people on trial based on hearsay evidence, authorize trials that can sentence people to death based on testimony literally beaten out of witnesses, and slam shut the courthouse door for habeas petitions.  Nothing could be further from the American values we all hold in our hearts than the Military Commissions Act."

You can become a bonafide card carrying ACLU member for as little as a $20.00 donation. I signed up and embarrased to admit it took me this long to do so. Keep up the fine work brother and sister Kossacks. See you on the battlefield.
