As you read this, Rep. Marsha Blackburn is hosting a 'meet and greet' at the Chamber of Commerce in Arlington, TN. From a recent press release:
She will be in Arlington at the Town Hall Center at 8 a.m. this Friday, October 20 It is a visit to the Chamber of Commerce as an elected official and is not considered a campaign stop. The room capacity is about 75. There is a possibility that she may take some questions...
A couple of days ago, she bailed out on an engagement with 4,000 U.S. soldiers at Fort Campbell, KY, citing "foul weather." Something there was indeed foul, but it wasn't the weather.
"Two members of Congress were to join him, Rep. Ed Whitfield and Rep. Marsha Blackburn, but both canceled this morning, citing foul weather."

Blackburn isn't campaigning and she isn't taking her re-election race seriously. She takes her seat in Congress for granted at her own peril. Tennesseeans in the 7th District have had enough.
Blackburn has not done any advertising and she has no field operation to speak of. No one even seems to know what a Marsha Blackburn yard sign looks like. She has no idea what's about to hit her.
Bill Morrison is a mere six points behind her in the polls, and when voters are told about who he is and what he will do for Tennessee, he comes out eight points ahead.
No one likes asking for money, but unfortunately that's what we need the most. The DCCC is too heavily invested in other races, and was itself caught unawares by Bill's astonishing rise.
The good news is that it doesn't take much for you to help us win yet another seat in the House. We only need to get the word out and we can send Marsha Blackburn packing.
Here's what your contribution will buy in Tennessee's 7th (figures are drawn from average costs):
- $225 buys a day's worth of newspaper advertising.
- $165 will cover one day of travel throughout the district.
- $94 buys one point of TV advertising time. (500 points is a good buy)
- $51 will robo-call 1,000 voters.
- $26 will pay for 100 pieces of targeted direct mail.
- $17 pays for one point of radio advertising (500 points is a good buy).
- $2.57 covers the total cost of putting up a yard sign.
You won't find a better return on your investment anywhere else in the country.
