Special Comment Olbermann style tonite!

There are two things that are keeping me sane this Monday night...Heroes will be on (I'm so hooked!..I need it, leave me be!) and Keith Olbermann has a special comment this evening on the advertising the GOP does for the terrorists, all by themselves.

there were no preview transcripts, but let's yak about Keith here, let's get happy for a minute! And then probably this could work for an update with a link to Crooks and Liars and Youtube, which we all know we will dutifully and happily fastforward via e-mail to everyone we can.
And of course, sending great thanks and kudos to Keith, our sanity pill for each day. Go Keith!

          Wonder is Chimpy hearing any of Keith's comments? It would be a shame if he weren't, but since presidentin' is such hard work, he might be missing them, you know?  Sort of like that week during which he missed the entire aftermath of Hurricane Katrina?

          Perhaps one of Olbermann's assistant's could put together some video of Keith (like the Chimp's aides did to catch him up on Katrina) and forward it to the White House. Maybe a dvd entitled, "Special Comments for a 'Special' President."

            Olbermann was sooo right on last night. He really pointed out how what the adminstration is doing is actually a form of terrorism itself.

            Moreover, and I didn't hear KO touch upon this angle, but couldn't it be argued that if their campaign commercials do indeed invoke terror, isn't that tactic in and of itself, aiding and abetting the enemy?

            At its maximum it's treason; at its minimum it's a high crime or misdemeanor -- an impeachable offense.

  at the beginning where they showed clip after clip of Bush saying we would "stay the course"?!  Keith made some sarcastic comment to the effect that Bush must have forgotten that videotape was invented in the 1950s (?) so trying to now deny he ever said "stay the course" won't work!  He also used the term "flip-flop" regarding Junior's change of mine.

    there is one ad that have people walking to/from a bush and asking hard Q after hard Q.  And then as the camera pans into the bush standing by itself, the moderator says something like, "You'll never get an answer out of this bush, and you'll never get one out of this one either" (as the camera flips up a picture of W.  

    I don't do it justice, but my whole family thought it was clever and a real zinger.  Is this being shown anywhere other than central Ohio.

      here in Brookings, Oregon on Charter Cable via CNN. When I first saw it I could not stop laughing for some time. Later, when the wife and daughter joined me, they played it again and we all had a good laugh. Sorry, but it was that or cry because the truth hurts.

      It is a very clever ad, and whoever did it deserves to be commended for it. It beats the crap out of the OBL/Repug one that the G(rand) O(ld) P(ervs) paid for, and it delivers its message in a much more powerful way without using the terrorist propaganda like the Repugs do.

      No terrorizing us to vote for the Democrats, it was the truth. That is reason enough for us...

    they'll merge CNBC and MSNBC -- they'll replace the daytime news blocks with the CNBC business coverage (or maybe alternate news/business reports), but keep the prime-time block mostly intact. They might move Tucker back to the evenings in one of the spaces where they've got the "documentaries", or maybe cut him altogether (a girl can dream -- show's not the same without Rachel Maddow as a regular voice of reason). Tweety and Keith are safe (both are ratings draws, Keith a bit more than Tweety). Joe evidently is being moved to some sort of Hollywood beat, last I heard; maybe he'll get pissed and quit.

    MSNBC consolidating studios into NYC, which will actually be better for Keith since it'll eliminate the commute to/from Secaucus...

  absolutely awesome!! I don't have cable so I never saw him before people started talking about his special comments. I've been able to watch most of his show segments from the MSNBC site. It has now become part of my daily television viewing!!! And I won't miss tonight!!! Thanks for letting us know!!!

    I'm 58 years old, and so not a fan-mail writting kinda gal, but I've written several fan letters to Keith. Saw him first, last August, because of a link on Daily Kos. Thank you, dKos. Keith took my breath away, and brought tears to my eyes.

    with you in this matter. I can't watch him at the usual 8pm slot here in VA so I always catch the 12 mid one after I get Daily Show and Stephen Colbert at 11pm. It certainly makes the day something to get through with anticipation of what these guys are going to be saying that is usually what I have been thinking.  Kudos for Keith for tonights show!!

  CNN's doing a great piece about the "Do-Nothing Congress" focusing on how Joel Hefley was shunned by the GOP leadership when he was on the Ethics Committee.  He's the retiring Congressman who's refusing to endorse Doug Lamborn in CO-05.

  And of course, the Lamont/Liberman/Schlesinger debate is right now too.

    I've been watching that too.  Isn't it fascinating?  I have seen a change in CNN.  They are in deep shit right now for broadcasting a video they apparently got from the "terrorists" showing the targeting and killing of US troops.  Apparently some want to throw out CNN imbedded journalists.  In a country that is now calling coffins/body bags "transfer tubes," this is not surprising to me.  Hang in there CNN!  Other than Keith Olbermann, you are the last "reliable source."

    I was glad to read your comment, because I had to split time between these shows to catch Olberman's rant -- here's my reaction from Open Thread:
    He was ANGRY! So angry he slipped up on his words a couple of times.
    I not sure if this commentary will "resonate" in the rest of the "Media," but he sure sounded sincere as I watched it. His outrage about the remains recently found near Ground Zero seemed to come from deeply-felt disgust and pain too.
    Whomever they are who are running what is called the Republican Party today are despicable in their actions, and I'm glad when somebody with a public platform says so.

  Both sitting here watching KO with the golden retriever doing its thing.  Wife says it has obsessive compulsive licking disorder (OCLD).  It's the little things.

    Our golden retriever does the exact same thing--to the point where he has to wear one of husband's white sport sox on his leg to prevent him from licking.  Never had such a good name for it--just shared it with my husband and we're both laughing because right now the dog is right in front of us LICKING!  I hate fall when his allergies act up--it's been a constant battle this fall and much yelling at said dog of "STOP THAT LICKING!" (to which he has become deaf).  OCLD--that's a good one and I'm going to remember it.  LOL

      and he was stressed out.

      I sprayed his raw spots with Bactine, and he stopped licking them. The Bactine helped it heal, and the horrid taste stopped him licking.

      And the other cats got old and died, so now he's the king. No more compulsive licking.
