Us Kossacks been asking the DCCC to expand the playing field -- and finally it seems that
they they finally did just that!
The DCCC's blog, The Stakeholder, reports that FOUR races in NY have become competitive enough for the DCCC to list them as the newest additions to the 'Red2Blue' list.
The NY-03, NY-19, NY-26, and NY-29 have been made into the new 'Red2Blue' races.
[More below]
The Red2Blue lists the candidates the DCCC supports with funding and is the highest recognition that a Democrat running for house can achieve. These are the races that the DCCC has become actively involved in and hopes that with further support can be made into Dem. Held seats.
It's become clear that NY State has a real chance to make sure that we have a Democractic leadership in the House and the DCCC has taken note. This important opportunity has been seen in the many Netroots candidates that have made the DCCC's list and this just shows that we have some great candidates with fantastic grassroots support.
The NY-03 candidate is Dave Mejias, NY-19 candidate is John Hall.

The NY-26 candidate is Jack Davis, and NY-29 candidate is Eric Massa.

These additions to the Red2Blue list mean that the DCCC has been feeling the heat that we bloggers have all applied to their orgainization. MyDD with their 'use it or lose it' campaign and the DailyKos's entries about competitive candidates have absolutely forced the DCCC's hand and finally got them to give in and fund the candidates with the greatest chance.

All of these candidates should be applauded for their hard work and dedication. Good job all around.
