Pollster.com 10/27

Fri Oct 27, 2006 at 10:20:30 AM PDT

My new favorite site, Pollster.com, has a set up where it will show you an aggregate of polls across the country for the federal races.

As of today, here is where things stand.
* House: Dem 219, Rep 194, Toss up 22
* Senate: Dem 48, Rep 48, Toss up 4
* Governors: Dem 27(!), Rep 21, Toss up 2

The senate is going to be a nail-biter.

  •  Senate would be cool (1+ / 0-)

    If this is true, Democrats have a lock on the House. That's actually all we need. Someplace to start asking questions. Once we get the House, the free ride is over.

    Getting the Senate would be great only because that would be more people asking questions.

    The real question to ponder is, if the Democrats get a big enough wave, would moderate Republicans join the Democratic side to provide veto-proof margins on issues like stem cells or on the war? Would those moderate Republicans start paying back the radicals in the party? Will the radicals lose control?

    This could get very interesting.

    This site shows Foley's seat as a toss-up.  I do not think it is, which means there should be one more on the Dem side and one less in the toss-up category.
