Stem Cell Invite! HUGE Press Conf, Oct. 30 - John Garamendi in San Fran - Come!

Fri Oct 27, 2006 at 01:07:44 PM PDT

Not to be missed under any circumstances! Cancel the weddings, postpone the funerals, tell the publisher's clearing house you don't want their millions--  but be sure to join your fellow stem cell supporters at 12:15 THIS MONDAY!

Meet stem cell research supporter John Garamendi, the man who defied the giant insurance companies and is now running for the critically important office of Lieutenant Governor of California--and why does that matter, you ask? The Lieutenant Governor can APPOINT FIVE MEMBERS OF THE ICOC BOARD--and Garamendi's opponent, Tom McClintock, opposes California's research so much he calls it "snake oil" and helped write the official opposition statement in the Voter's Handbook!

Meet Gavin Newsome, mayor of San Francisco and a man predicted by many to be President one day;

And shake hands with our own Bob Klein*, chairman of the ICOC, the man who began Proposition 71,  and who would make a great President-- except we need him to stay exactly where he is, leading the charge--

And most importantly, you, linking arms with all of us!!!

We are the stem cell supporters, and now at last the season is coming together. All your hard work is about to come to fruition, and we just may be on the brink of a stem cell veto-proof Congress and Senate.

But we have to make sure no one who can hurt our beautiful stem cell program has the power to do so. We need a strong supporter in the position of Lieutenant Governor.

John Garamendi is that man.

If you live on the West Coast, find a way to join us, this Monday.

The Garamendi/Newsom/Klein Stem Cell press conference will be held at Koret Quad (in front of Genentech Hall) on the campus of UCSF Mission Bay in San Francisco.

The date and time are 12:15 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2006.

The address of Genentech Hall is 600 16th Street.

There is a parking lot between 3rd and 4th Streets, bordered by 16th Street. You can enter the parking lot from 16th Street.

Here is a map:http://www.ucsf.edu/... http://www.ucsf.edu/...

We have taken care of:

1) Signage (Garamendi signs interspersed with signs that say "Yes! Stem Cell Research / No! Tom McClintock")

2) Staging (podium, sound, mixer, etc.)

NOW ALL WE NEED ARE STEM CELL RESEARCH ADVOCATES!

P.S. I am sure you saw the disgusting attack on Michael J. Fox by Bush flunkey (and surrogate?) Rush Limbaugh.

Here is what Bob had to say in response!

If you click on the search tab for the videos and search for "stem cell" and then click on the one named "cardinals pitcher in anti-stem cell political ad," you'll see Bob's comments on Rush's comments.

Oh, also, we need people who will help (even from out of state) the vital Claire McCaskill Missouri campaign, by making phone calls (with their help) to friendly folks who might need a ride to the polls for instance.

If you can spare an hour or two, click on: http://www.claireonline.com/...

At the bottom of the page, click on: "Not from Missouri? Sign up here."

Remember, this is probably the single most important Senate Race. The stem cell opposition is flooding it with money--all we have is our energy--so let's do that one more extra chore.

And thank you, so much.
