PhotoDiary: Minnesota Peace Rally/Protest at the State Capitol

If a photo is worth a thousand words, here are about 17,000 of them- give or take a few adverbs.

These are my photos from today's (Saturday, 10/28) protest on the State Capitol front steps with A.N.S.W.E.R. (Act Now to Stop War & End Racism).  It felt great  to get out in the cold and work for change!

The yellow signs were from the high school antiwar/antiracism group.  Great kids!

They were playing Ode to Joy.  

Fresh faces working hard for change.  The red arm bands were for the Vets for Peace.

What did Iraq do?

Lots of parents and kids were protesting the military recruiters at their schools.

Stop the killing.

Strong words.

Find where action is in YOUR area and get out there!  Get out the vote  AND  get out and vote!

Were there any other Minnesota Kossacks in attendance today?  Please share your photos and stories!  I was wearing a black hoodie, holding a huge blue and yellow banner listing the war's  statistics with my friend near the front.
