Have you all seen this ad for Lamont? It is a HIT on Lieberman!
"Mistake"
I'm retired General Wes Clark.
Joe Lieberman introduced the resolution authorizing the War in Iraq. That was a mistake.
Joe Lieberman voted for that resolution without asking the tough questions. That was also a mistake.
And now, 3 and a half years into a failing mission in Iraq, Joe Lieberman can't seem to say we should change the course. And that's a REAL mistake.
Re-elect Joe Lieberman? Well, there's a word for it.
"Mistake."
I'm Ned Lamont and I approve this message.

Matt Stoller also has some nice words about Clark...
Wes Clark Ad
The only 2008 hopefuls to distinguish themselves as loyal in any way to Democrats are John Kerry and Wes Clark. Both have come to Connecticut and done events for Lamont. The rest of the field has largely skipped Connecticut, which doesn't just hurt Lamont but also hurts the three Congressional seats we're trying to pick up. Firedoglake has more on this problem. Just one factoid will show what's up - at the behest of his consultants, Obama is in California stumping for Angelides.
Anyway, my sense is that there's sort of a tug of war between the 'My Joey' voters and the anti-Bush wave. Can Lieberman convince enough people that he's not that bad on the war, or that the war isn't that big a deal? A lot of these folks want to believe Joe, they want to think that their votes in the past have been good choices, and they want change but are afraid of it.
