Electronic voting is the bane of our democracy. In 2004-2005 it was the Green Party that took the lead in demanding a recount of the ballots in Ohio.

The Democrats gave up and went home, conceding questionable results and allowing Bush to retain the White House. Thankfully for the citizens of Ohio the lowly Greens decided to stand for the principle that ALL votes count, and that ANY hint of fraud should be investigated.
Now, it's two years later, and what are we beginning to hear again?

Once again, paperless voting machines that register votes for Republicans when the voter selects Democrats. And once again there is no consistent plan for dealing with errors when they occur. The plan is left up to each county, insuring that confusion and partisan acrimony will once again prevail as yet another election is stolen.
The Green Party stands ready, once again, to do whatever can be done to insure that every vote is counted accurately. The question remains...will the Democrats do likewise, or will they roll over for the Republicans as they did in 2004 and 2006?

Watch the news after the polls close on November 7. Track the results in your precinct, county and district. Do the math and compare the actual results with the expected results.
And then watch who responds to defend voting rights...and who simply whines and blames third parties for their loss.
