Reading through the veritable goldmind of mindless press bull that is ABC's "The Note", I noticed this important development, delivered with barely an afterthought.
Kerry has no changes on the ad front, but the Bush camp plans to take a break from its ad campaign beginning next Thursday; until then, Bush continues airing only one ad -- "Pessimism"
So, this is certainly an interesting development. Seems at first to be a standard pull back strategy by BushCo, giving the Dem's breathing room ahead of the convention. But in essence, I know they're not ceeding the entire month of July. So pulling down the ads seems a bit premature. That is unless you consider where their real cash on hand may be, and what they plan on doing during the August run up.
Alot of people have commented that BushCo will get blotted out by the Olympics. But is it possible for them to make a $30Million ad play, exclusive to Olympic Broadcasts? Could we see this in the works? Or is it that they're just out of cash and fed up with ads that don't move polls.
