It could happen. The elections could go to the Republicans. I don't want it to happen and I hope it won't, but it could, indeed happen. If it does, prepare yourself. It could put you into a state of depression and that state is
dangerous. I know. I have a severe case of clinical depression. I am currently on the maximum dosage of Zoloft as I have been for the past six years but today I am going to see about switching to something else as it appears to not be doing its stuff anymore... but I am really glad I was on it for those six years or I would be dead by my own hand by now.
I'm not saying everyone should go on medication. That was the solution for me, but it is not a solution for everyone. What I am urging you to do is know the signs of depression and if you feel that you might fit the signs, seek help- and now before the elections because bad news like this can drive people over the edge. There are always stories of suicides after elections and I don't want anyone here to be one of those stories if things go badly.
