Ok, so I woke up while it was still dark this fine Saturday morning, the fumes of last night's creative meeting still spinning in my head. And there on the tv screen, before my wondering eyes...a show called "Broken Government"?!

Well, kids, if you haven't seen it, you really should. It's one of those sanctimonious recaps of a situation they do so well, with gobs of serious sincerity and an animated broken-glass logo.
Despite all the predictable mawkish showmanship, CNN actually reveals many, many of the issues we have been railing about for years, from the Evangelical deception by the right to of course Iraq, deep corruption, and so on and so on.
A bilious, burn-victim looking William F. Buckley emotes his deep doubt and disappointment, nay, disbelief, in the current administration. Bush is mocked and derided for many things...Norquist, Delay, you name it.
What I wanted to know is what the hell happened? Why was this never in the MSM before this point. Then of course I realized. They only report on a disaster when it's sexy, scandalous, and huge. When it's a sure thing. Sigh. Maybe I need to order the magical mop they advertised during the many, many commercial breaks.
