While Kerry has his detractors and his fans on this site (I'm a fan), I think his campaign in 2004 embodied the hope of our country. Contrast with the kind of election we're facing this year, with the GOP doing everything it can to prevent people from participating in government.
I just wanted to let people see photos I took when Kerry visited Minneapolis for a rally in 2004. We stood outside the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome (Humphrey embodied all that's good about politicians) and were treated to a stirring campaign stop by Kerry. I think the energy from the crowd infected Kerry, and it was a great moment in time. Minnesota voted overwhelmingly for Kerry, if only a couple other states had as well.
I have posted the full gallery at my site. This is what democracy in America should look like.
