The
Democratic National Convention Committee (the organization responsible for producing the convention--not to be confused with
Boston 2004, the host committee responsible for organizing the outside events and parties and security, or
Celebrate Boston, the subcommittee of Boston 2004 responsible for organizing events over the entire month of July) has its
blog up and running, designed by yours truly, with
Matt Stoller and
Eric Schnure as the main posters, as announced in the
press release.
sidebar: press releases work. The release generated this Boston Globe piece, this Boston Herald piece, and this AP story.
There's a poll at the main DNCC site on naming the blog in the lower lefthand corner. The options are "The Gavel", "Boston D Party", "Demosphere", and "The Unconventional Blog".
In other news, the convention committee is still accepting credential requests from bloggers. June 15 is the hard deadline, so fill out the entry form now.
