In the WA-05 race, Peter Goldmark came up with the following ideas: national energy crops for which farmers could rely on income, and which could help reduce reliance on oil. How do we get that idea considered by Congress? What do we do with his knowledge of how to save family farms? Biodiesel? Biofuels?
We need some process in this country to use really good candidates who don't win the election because of the stupidity of the electorate. (How short-sighted of the Fifth district to elect a lame duck [Cathy McMorris] when the rest of the country is celebrating their participation in the Demo majority) Ah, he could write a newspaper column! Or write a book! Or be the subject of a documentary! Or best of all, run again and win!!!
That would take a s***load of education and organizing in the Fifth District. He did better than Don Barbieri (the previous challenger), now let's hope he decides to do better than himself. Call him, write him, leave comments on his website votepetergoldmark.com and tell him what you think of his campaign and how he oughta keep on trucking. He is toooooo valuable to let go of. So tell him that. Do not let him sink into obscurity.
