Ah, I would like to take a moment to take us all down memory lane. I don't think that we should stay too long in the past, as we will soon be implementing policies that will bring a better future to the American people, but we do need to remember how we got our leaders.
And how the world reacted....
AFter Dick Gephardt's tragic campaign for President, and after he decided to resign from Congress, the Democrats needed a new leader. They decided to go with Nancy Pelosi, a hardworking and intelligent Congresswoman with a lot of history and knowledge of the rough and tumble world of politics. And the reaction.

Some Republicans have expressed glee at the prospect of a Democrat from what is arguably the country's most liberal city leading the party, believing Pelosi is out of touch with most Americans.
House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Illinois, hinted that Republicans won't be shy about highlighting Pelosi's ideology.
"I think Nancy will call herself a San Francisco liberal," Hastert said. "So I don't think that's a problem."
And two years later Democrats simply lost all common sense when they elected none-other than Howard Dean to be their new party chair.

Some Democrats are nervous that Dean, who has actively opposed the Iraq war from the start, will galvanize Republicans.
"I think if (Democrats) have a true death wish, he'd be the perfect guy to go with," former House Majority Leader Newt Gingrich told Fox News last month.
Oh, I wonder how Gingrich and Hastert like their crow--well done or rare?
