Free Full-Access Web Hosting Catch Free: An Incentive to Start Blogging

This diary is inspired by DON'T JUST DO Something, Sit There! Start 2008 Blogging Red to Blue Today by SLJ from a couple of days ago.
Do you live in one of the 200 or so Congressional Districts with a Republican representative? Do you live in one of the 21 states with a Republican senator up for re-election in 2008? Can you spare a mere one hour a week to help contest every seat on Election Day 2008?
(I am not pimping his diary as I don't even know him and it's days old at that. This is not SPAM as I am not asking for anything but instead offering to put $10 cash on the line - a donation of sorts - to you - the grassroots. Read on.)
Liberal bloggers, acting as individuals as opposed to posting diaries on the Dailykos for example, only add more weight to our corner. In this modern world, you would be doing your country a great service.
Here's the best part--this is work you can do fun you can have from the comfort of your favorite computer chair.

But I, as he also encouraged, was liberal blogging of all kinds. The more we have, the more people read, the more the truth gets out there, it's just so damn important right now.
Now, if you want simple blogging that's practically automated, simple, and easy, go for blogger, by far the most popular, but feel free to run a Google search to find what you are looking for.
Free web/blog hosting is limited. You have ads - they need to make money. You are greatly limited in cutomizibility and software choices (if there are any!)
Which is why I am offering what I am. Free web blog hosting of a very open kind that allows you to do what you want. You are welcome to use my domain HeroinDiaries (but are not required to as you will read), mostly used by current or former drug users sharing their stories, although that was not my intention - I didn't intend for "Heroin Diares" to be interpreted literally. My drug war site, Drug War Revealed, have you not seen it (most of it were fairly popular diaries here!), is also hosted under drugwar.heroindiaries.com, which factually and ideologically argues vehemently against drug prohibition on many different levels - but does not say 100% legalization is necessarily the answer. But I am going on a tangent. I didn't provide clickable links so as to do my best not to be accused of SPAM. I am certainly not here to pimp my site.
But putting the "HeroinDiaries" stigma aside, here is the best part I mentioned in the blurb:
I will personally buy you your own domain (a $10 value), completely 100% yours (owned by you - and transferrable should you want to leave for another server, though I will handle the technical aspects as directed by you), that is to say you will have whatever-you-want.com (or .org, or .net). Country coded domains (i.e. whatever.com.au) cost more than I can afford and I am sorry I cannot offer that to you out of my own pocket. This is about American politics, anyway.
This domain need not be linked to HeroinDiaries or Drug War Revealed in any way, shape, or form, unless it is your wish.
I am doing this to help to give liberals a voice - notably a more powerful one than standard free blogging sites. I will give you a full linux account. I will give you a website, including free installation of any blogging software of your choice. It will have a (virtually at least) unlimited quota in terms of traffic and disk space. I will give you full FTP access, allowing you to fully customize your blog. I will give you SQL databases. I will give you free technical and other support within reason including assistance tackling problems & configuration. It will have free stats of any popular system. There is but one thing I cannot give you: telnet access, but I will happily due whatever tweaking you ask of me, given a short amount of time, but I will spend all my free time helping my users. If your blog is hot then telnet access for yourself might be considered after heavily judging your character - it's my ass on the line if you do anything bad! I need to protect my other bloggers - and that would include you.
Just think about it. You could make your own DailyKos if you want. And that's why I am doing this - to encourage liberal blogging that stands out and potentially attracts a large audience. The more, the better!
And, unless your site starts costing me huge amounts of money due to very, very large traffic, I will guarantee this arrangement for life (at least that's my word.) And again - other than that little bit that's unavoidable, there are no strings attached whatsoever, assuming you are indeed a liberal or progressive blogger - whether you agree with my personal politics or not. To prevent right-wingers burning my wallet, I would like to see some of your writing. But we'll talk about that if it comes to it. If you are indeed a liberal/progressive, this is not an issue, we'll figure something out.
