Committing a double faux pas here, as I submitted a diary entry earlier today and I've already posted on this topic
earlier on Kos. Mea culpa, I'll say a few Our Fathers later.
Anyway, am I missing something? Why is the sum total of the efforts of Mary Blanco and Ronnie Musgrove to raise out-of-state money on the Internet restricted to listing an address and asking for checks? It can't be a legal barrier, because both Haley Barbour and Bobby Jindal have secure on-line forms (Jindal even takes Discover, for Cripe's sake).
Kos says the DNC reads these diary threads. I humbly submit that the DNC is falling down on the job if they can't ensure that all Democratic candidates have a means to collect money from national small party donors. (Either that, or individual campaigns are completely pig-headed and ignorant.) An on-line form will literally pay for itself within a few days. The DNC has the power to provide an out-of-the-box solution to each and every campaign for House, Senate, and Governor soon after they're nominated. I hope they are aware that this must be a top fundraising priority.
