I just bought Dude Where's My Country and was 'entertaining' my wife by reading portions of it to her. I said something like 'can you believe this' and told her about the Bush-Bin Laden family ties, etc.
My wife is not terribly political but is certainly progressive minded, and will certainly be voting Democratic next time. But... her reaction to these facts was basically a so what.
Its a bit of a reality check, because we are used to the Kos community, reading The Nation and hanging out with our anti-Bush friends. We have to remember that what we see as obvious and are exposed to on a daily basis may not mean much to average, even progressive-leaning voters.
