You probably believe it more than i do...But I'm here!!!!
Holed up in a small town, resting the badly abused back, and rubbing my alledgedly laid back nature up against Island Time.
Island Time it turns out, is strictly enforced! Not by any person you understand...but by the healthy, happy, stresslessness of a REAL life....as opposed to the deliberately stress filled 'American Lifestyle'. Its not that anybody is trying to slow things down...Its just nobody really cares that you wish to be in a hurry. Everytime I have diplayed the least impatience...people look up and get a certain look in their eyes...not negative in anyway just a recognition.
OH! This guys in a hurry! haha, sorry buhdy! Here lets get this done for you so you can stop stressing out. Beautiful! Of course i'm describing small town hawaai...I'm guessing honolulu is a tad diff!
I arrived late at night, Monday. Grabbed a cab to the nearest motel, after a ten minute convo my native cabbie gave me a hug and welcomed me to Hawaii. Woke up the next morning and much to my surprise found myself on Hilo Bay!!!
Bam!!! beauty, exoticnessity, strange birds and trees, little tiny peninsulas sticking out into the bay, each one a tiny zen garden tended only by Mother Nature.
Second cab ride, second hug and welcome, including a couple of introductions, since totally Co-incidentally (hahaha) my cab driver grew up in the same small town.
Get to my inn, hug and welcome.
Stroll into coffee shop, welcomes, handshakes, name exchanging, offers of help and advice.....on and on....
Dense jungle, making the Yucatans jungle look like a dessert, papayas and bananas, Growing on Trees, outside my funky little rooms door, I had some for breakfast.
An orchestra of frogs sings me to sleep, a choir of birds (including a rooster with a speech impediment) wakens me.
Muteness...through my own ignorance i am not yet connected regularly and solidly and probably won't be for a few more days...so i must likely will not be commenting much below. but I promise to read every comment and should be a full time kossak again soon!!!
Finally thanks to Avila for the 'going away' diary which I just found recently.
And THANKS to all of you who wished me well, so far its working!!!
As soon as i am back on and flowing, The Pony Express will start ramping up. In the meantime i urge all of you to go to the excellent Pony Express site that Avila has lovingly made and check it out. I'm pretty sure she has an e-mail alert system up for all pony related activities!!!
Thanks again for all the support during the move....and if you are wondering, YES!!!! i miss the orange people terribly!!!
As I said, I'm basically up and down loading packets at this point, so if i can get a comment or two in later I will.
Aloha, Mahalo and Pony On!!!
