BROKEN!: Rumsfeld Steps Down

Wed Nov 08, 2006 at 09:57:19 AM PDT

It was just announced that Donald Rumsfeld is stepping down as Secretary of Defense.

The AP link is here.  It's also being reported on MSNBC now.

There's no report on his replacement, if one has been made yet.  (Or if this is a firing more than a stepping down.)  Lieberman, stay by the red phone, please.

I wonder if Condi Rice is expecting another position change.  Man, how does she keep her resume updated?

Bush will be talking soon. I can just imagine whay kind of shit he will have to say. Here comes his speech!

Nothing shows Bush more clearly than this, that the old days of beating up Dems are over, baby.

Good thing Rumsfeld went voluntarily, 'cause the subpoenas are going out, and not everybody is gonna have a choice about when they leave.

    Yeah, baby!

Left. Because it's right. Beware the terrible simplifiers!

Kos broke it before any of the umpteen diaries on the list, and comments there have moved past Joementum to Gates as the nominee.
Really no need for this particular diary
