The Capitol Steps put out a CD with that title. But there's nothing amusing about the news this am.
Two American soldiers and several 'contractors' are still missing. The fuel convoy they were part of was attacked by gunmen running rampant on Baghdad's western edge. And the now must-read Juan Cole discusses the potential collapse of the IGC, the puppet US government in Iraq. So, when this insurrection is all cleaned up, we may not have anyone to hand the reins of power over to.
Meanwhile, gunships attack Fallujah and six American soldiers and many more Iraqis died yesterday in various battles and ambushes, as best we can tell.
Back on the homefront, there's a growing sense that something very big happened last night in terms of the Bush Administration's ability to further stonewall the 9/11 Commission.
This reminds me of something but I just can't put my finger on what. Oh, well. It'll come to me.
Update [2004-4-10 8:7:56 by DemFromCT]:For the first time in memory, the Times has better coverage than the WaPo, who has buried Pincus' piece on the August 6 Daily Briefing somewhere on the politics page on the web and A5 in the paper. If you see a piece by Walter Pincus anywhere in that paper, read it. He's the best they have.
Morons. This is front page stuff.
And don't miss this piece on AWOL from the WaPo, which at least makes the front page.
Bush's Low Profile Questioned as Violence Flares in Iraq
I could use that title every day from now until November. Great.
Update [2004-4-10 8:20:37 by DemFromCT]:
Fox and Friends this am (8:12) on cable. There's nothing here. This is nothing. Clarke signed a movie deal with Sony. Move along, folks. It's clear from the WaPo that there's just general stuff, no smoking gun in that memo.
The Bush Administration's Information Ministry has not yet smelled the coffee. Makes you wonder whether and how the memo can be spun once it's out, which apparently won't be until middle of the week.
They are, at least, asking how Rumsfeld can stick to his troop reduction schedule. Thank God for a free press. What would we do without Fox? A direct quote:
"Even some of the Iraqis seem concerned about what's going on." Imagine that.
