As many of you are undoubtedly aware, Dick Cheney's openly gay daughter Mary is pregnant.
This reaction from one Freeper:
From the article:
There was no formal announcement of either daughter's pregnancy from the vice president's office, but the Post quoted spokeswoman Lea Anne McBride as saying Tuesday night that "the vice president and Mrs. Cheney are looking forward with eager anticipation to the arrival of their sixth grandchild."
No word yet as to whether the vice president and Mrs. Cheney are looking forward with eager anticipation to their sixth grandchild being born, erm, alive.
But I digress.
The point of this diary is to confess the almost perverse amount of pleasure it gives me to wander over to Free Republic and read the predictably insipid, predictably rabid, predictably retrograde responses of the "Party of Lincoln" (stop laughing):
Yay- We're so proud of her- Now, another baby can be brought up in a sinful household and learn to shun God and live a life free from moral values- Good going!
At least this unwed mother won't be going on welfare.
Why else would FReepers from Massachusetts & Ontario any longer even bother to comment on this deviant crap?
I'm sure it's still going on. Slap on your hip waders and check it out.
Imagine the cognitive dissonance these fucktards are experiencing right now. See, in their world, homosexuality is a choice. In their world, parents are supposed to raise their children to make the "right" choices. In their world, Mary Cheney's homosexuality is deviance, and it is deviance that Dick Cheney was supposed to be able to stop.
In their world, Dick would have never let this get as far as it did. In their world, Dick should have made it plain to Mary that she was to go around with men, and keep her homosexuality tightly closeted. Better yet, Dick should have sent Mary off to one of Dobson's reconditioning camps to get her good and cured of The Gay the minute he noticed that she was wearing comfortable shoes.
In my own final calculus, I have no sympathy for Mary Cheney. She has gone far enough to admit to the world who she is, which makes her no great shakes. She has gone far enough to declare her union with another woman. And she has gone far enough to serve herself and her own dreams in choosing to raise a child. All things she should be able to do for herself, and in the pursuit of her own selfish happiness. But she continues to support an administration who has fought actively to deprive other women just like herself from enjoying the very same rights and social acceptance, and that is utterly despicable.
