Judd Gregg (R-NH), September 2006:
"It [phased withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq] is a policy that is firmly grounded in Birkenstocks and clearly not grounded in the reality of the world as it is," Gregg said.
Judd Gregg, Today:
"There is no question but that we need to figure out a way to extricate ourselves from Iraq in a reasonable way that doesn't undermine our commitment to trying to make that country independent, free and oriented toward the market economy," Gregg said in a written statement.
Sorry Judd (or should I call you "surrender monkey"?). You voted for it. You championed it. You broke it. You bought it. Nobody buys your post-Bush persona, especially not the twelve U.S. soldiers killed yesterday. Same goes for Johnny Sununu. We will extricate ourselves from this nightmare by voting out of office all of its cheerleaders.
(kudos to Daniel Barrick of the Concord Monitor for writing an article that references previous statements; how refreshing.)
