Peace is possible in Iraq.
The main question is how we get there.
President Bush decided to use military force. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have died. Thousands of Americans have died.
The total cost of the war will be well over $2 trillion (including equipment replacement and long-term veteran care).
For any progress made with the military strategy, it has come at far too high of a cost.
Consider what else could have been done with the $2 trillion that will be spent on this war.
Debt relief, immunizations, clean water projects, access to information, sustainable energy research, etc...
What would the world think about a country that spent $2 trillion on peace projects instead of war projects.
How much success would al-Qaeda have in getting support for their jihad against the United States?
Even the generals say this is more of a political war than a military war.
We need a strategy of peace more than we need a strategy of war.
We need a president who will lead us to peace instead of to war.
This is a movement of people who support the goal and strategy of peace.
This is a movement that can gain momentum and make a difference.
This is a movement that can lead through example.
This is a movement that can succeed.
