Dennis get's it:
We must establish streamlined national health insurance, "Enhanced Medicare for Everyone." It would be publicly financed health care, privately delivered, and will put patients and doctors back in control of the system. Coverage will be more complete than private insurance plans; encourage prevention; and include prescription drugs, dental care, mental health care, and alternative and complementary medicine.
There's another diary in progress about a half-assed "health plan" that is nothing more than a way to offset costs for big Corporations, passing itself off - incredibly - as "at least as good as Members of Congress receive". Yeah, right. It's about as convincing as Giuliani in a little black dress and cocktail gloves trying to pass for Audrey Hepburn. Breakfast At The HMO anyone?
Once again only Kucinich is on board with what's needed: an extension of Medicare. Period. It's not rocket science. Any candidate trying to pass off some elaborate, complex, networked, amalgamation of balance between people, "corporate interests", HMOs, insurers...is just fucking with you. It's just another version of privatization designed to lull you to sleep again, and will be picked apart in committee, and will emerge just another Frankenstein, complete with neck bolts - which can be unscrewed to bleed you dry.
Is there anyone besides Kucinich proposing the obvious?
Yeah, go ahead, make fun of his hair and normal height, let's have some more pictures of his point guard wife - maybe someone can photoshop her driving the lane and dunking on Kobe?
