Folks, with the holidays upon us, there has descended a cloud of civility upon DailyKos. The combination of time off of work, time spend around family, the still glowing aura of a Democratic victory, and a slow news cycle has left those of us who crave excitement and argument grasping at straws. Bob Johnson tried to show us a way out, but I just can't get into time wars, having known a close friend who lost his dignity in the Mountain vs. Pacific fracas of 2004. So, in honor of all who secretly miss the specter of Francis Holland, I provide to you this - a Christmas pie.
In the spirit of Christmas, can we not all agree that Obama's triangulation amounts to nothing less than a Lieberman-esque repudiation of our most closely held beliefs? And can we not, at the same time, recognize that any disagreement with Obama is a tacit admission of racism on our part?
Would it be wrong of me to point out that those who oppose impeachment missed their life's calling of lobbying for insurance company privileges from our Democrat representatives? And would it be equally wrong of me to point out that impeachment supporters are childish wannabe gate-crashers who secretly desire the fall of the Dems so they can install their Green Party hopefuls?
Surely, there can be no doubt that Kos' advertisement policy is a repudiation of everything we stand for. Or is it?
Southern white people - why must you be so racist?
Finally, I think we can all agree that those who choose to follow Kos' instructions regarding the acceptable standards for diaries are members of a cabal. At least, this much should be clear to all who are not crypto-fascists.
Ahhhh. I feel so much better.
