I'm sure someone else has pointed this out already, but I wanted to highlight what Joe Lieberman had to say upon Saddam Hussein's capture:
"If Howard Dean had his way, Saddam Hussein would still be in power today, not in prison, and the world would be a more dangerous place."
Lieberman failed to mention that if he were in power today -- i.e. if Gore had become president -- Saddam would also still be in power. Let's see him weasel out of that one.
On another note, Reuters reports that Saddam's capture is a "vindication for the four candidates who voted to allow Bush to go to war in Iraq." How so? He's been out of power for eight months, living in a hole in the ground and his main activity seems to have been growing out his beard. He's unlikely to have coordinated any of the recent violence, and in fact his capture may make things more dangerous for our troops. So other than being symbolic, how does Saddam's capture change things for anyone but Saddam?
