This is bad. After the uproar about The Mic in Madison, WI, changing to a sports station to provide more "high school volleyball" to the listeners, the people of Wisconsin prevailed, and progressive talk remained. Granted, they were the top-rated radio station in Madison, while WKOX and WXKS were not pulling the ratings, but if that's the main criteria, then Boston is nothing more than a bunch of folks who listen to sports talk all day. Who knows, maybe we're not as progressive as we think we are out here.
However, I need to know what we can do to get progressive talk (Air America, Stephanie Miller, Ed Walsh, et. al.) back into Boston. Whom can we write, petition, call, or email to get this format back into Boston, where it belongs?
Any and all help is appreciated and needed! Thanks.
UPDATE: I found Paxamericana's diary on the same subject, if you want to refer to it as well.
