Darth's Brilliant Eulogy

An hour or two ago out here in the wilderness of Seattle I heard Darth give an eulogy for Ford.

I am sure that some intrepid blogger will go through the eulogy and point out the 10? 20? 30+? lies that nice moderate ethical Cheney delivered, and how what Cheney said has NO connection to the reality of the aristo-fasciscts policies.

I felt like I was listening to RayGun 20 or 25 years ago.

Of course there is no connection between their policies and what they say.

Big Fucking Deal.

Without Iraq and Katrina, they'd still be in charge cuz their whole noble, ethical, hard working message is quite compelling.  

Too few Dems could figure that out 3 decades ago, and too few can figure it out still.

Proof?

Where the f$$k is OUR short and sweet,
easy to digest,
easy to repeat,
compelling and heart warming message?

When I watch that lying criminal Darth sound like a good decent guy trying hard for the good decent Americans,

I am so f$$king fed up with the Dem inability to make our vision easy to say and compelling to follow.

I know the excuses, I have been hearing them for decades: we Dems went to college and we are smart and the world is complex and the world isn't a bunch of soundbites, and they are dumb and they are simple and they listen to simple messages.

yawn.  

What would happen with our agendas if our 'leaders' would get off their high horses and their noble pursuits

(howard and a few others exempted)

and just talk to regular people?

We have the f$$$ing truth on our side, and all we can do is create condescending tomes.

ugh.

I hope things change in this next 2 years, I've seen too little in the last 30.

    Not only yours as stated but the Talking Heads going on about Cheney's best speech ever. Not to mention what is yet not directly stated but may emerge in coming days: MSNBC replayed a Jane Pauley show on Ford, the first clip of which was a younger Helen Thomas asking Ford just after Vietnam fell why there couldn't be Congressional Investigation: Aren't we allowed to learn something from this failure? Ford categorily cut her off or down. Watch Cheney do the same. Bush is so out of the picture he is reportedly chopping wood and riding his new Mountain bike.

    when I saw Darth get up,

    and just keep belting verbal home runs over the walls, I couldn't shut it off, I was just so amazed and appalled at their audacity.

  •  Dumbf**k bridge monkey couldn't

    read the stupid speech someone wrote for him.  Hastert sounded like Winston Churchill or Barack Obama.  I had to mute it for Darth after he addressed the Fords by their given names.  However, Mary Cheney's partner did have a great seat,visible over her father-in-civil-partnership's left shoulder. Priceless.

    leading as it did to the early rehabilitation of Nixon.  Had Milhous been properly serving the 30 years in Leavenworth he so richly deserved, he would have died disgraced in prison, thus sparing the Republic the cost of flying all the living ex-presidents and their Secrete Service retinue to the grave-side services.
