As you're probably all aware by now, Saddam Hussein has been executed. I won't shed a tear for him -- he was, after all, an evil man who delighted in torturing his own people. In that respect, he wasn't significantly different from our own Torturer-in-Chief.
Saddam was executed for murdering 148 Shiite men, women, and children from a town where someone tried to assassinate him about 25 years ago. But let's not forget that Saddam was able to maintain his power for so long with a lot of help from a few specific people. Accordingly, I want to see this picture everywhere for the next several days:
I want to see this picture every time someone mentions Saddam's execution.
I want to see this picture every time someone mentions the war in Iraq.
I want to see this picture every time someone claims that the war in Iraq is helping protect us from terrorists.
I want to see this picture every time someone mentions impeachment.
I want to see this picture every time another American soldier dies for this illegal, immoral, unnecessary war.
I want to see this picture every time an IED explodes in Iraq.
I want to see this picture every time there is another terrorist attack in the coming months, now that every terrorist organization in the Middle East has a new martyr to recruit with.
I want to see this picture every time someone complains that we don't have enough money to fund public education, healthcare, rebuilding New Orleans, or any other underfunded initiative of fundamental importance to the American people.
I want the whole world to be reminded that Saddam's evil excesses were made possible with the aid of BushCo officials.
I want to see this picture everywhere.
