WANTED: Greatest Whistleblower in History

Wed Mar 15, 2006 at 02:36:46 PM PDT

Two-thirds of the general population disapprove of George Bush, but almost 100% of those folks feel powerless to stop him and to put the country back on track. But not everyone in our country is so powerless as the common woman or man.

There are many in the White House who must see and know the dark business afoot: invading Iraq without due cause; outing a CIA agent; knowingly signing wrongfully worded bill into law; etc. If only someone (like Andrew Card) would DO THE RIGHT THING our country would take a giant leap forward.

This woman or man would go down as the greatest whistleblower ever, an unparalleled American hero. Deep Throat would be a minor footnote to this person. But it must be someone in-the-know, and willing to place loyalty to the Constitution above loyalty to George Bush. To think that simply telling the truth could return this country to greatness.

If I knew anything, I'd fork it over. Sadly, I'm not in the know.

Be good to each other. It matters.

It doesn't have to be a Card.  It just has to be someone with first-hand knowledge of crime.  Who of us could have identified Mark Felt before last year?

I've said this on other sites, but my choice for either whistleblower or future ex-secretary of state due to keeping the skeletons buried is Kristen Silverberg, Card's assistant during the period when Justice told Gonzales that the heat was on over Plame, then gave him overnight to shred evidence.

Check Silverberg for paper-cut scars and offer her a deal.

It is in DC. The people with oversight authority, who have it, are either scared to act, or defeated. It makes Dubai Port World look like a parking ticket on a UN delegate's windshield. Makes Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib look like someone served stale bread in the Federal penitentiary.

I'm not the greatest whistleblower in history by any means...and regret to say that, absent digital video of human sacrifice on George Bush's Solar Rug in the Oval Office (insert Illuminati reference here) nothing will change until he is impeached or 2009 with a Dem Pres. or Congress.

There is no whistle that can be blown when:

    1. the people have no ears in the press
    1. the overlords obey no law of this land

Sorry to disappoint ye...You can turn a mafia thug by offering witness protection...you can reward whistleblowers by granting "qui tam" dollar amounts...but these guys have so consistently vetted their bosom buddies that dissent or full-on departures from the propaganda program will be hard to come by.  Sorry about Colin Powell?  That ol' soldier havin' regrets?  Well, have you really heard him come out swinging? No, nada, zilch.
We've got to hit them where it hurts...throwing out that goddamn congress that refuses to investigate and starting real investigations.  Then...Chimpeach!
